#ThursdayThoughts: Life is crazy!

Wow! It has been almost a year since I started this blog. A lot has changed! As I mentioned in my last post, we moved into a house closer to Wesley's work, and I got a job. I work for a financial management company as the receptionist. I love it!

I also had a diagnosis this past year-back in March. I went to the emergency room for some totally unrelated reason, and they ran a bunch of blood tests, and found that I have Type 2 Diabetes! Thankfully, it isn't the insulin dependent kind. I have been on a journey to figure that all out. On top of that, I have some other things that I can't figure out if it's related to my blood sugar or not.

So, like this post title insinuates, my life is pretty crazy! But hopefully, I can get this blog going again. But instead of blogging about trying to keep my house clean, I am going to just blog about my life. Because I like it. :D

Something else that happened this year is that I started working as a consultant for Paparazzi, a jewelry company where everything is $5 and it is nickel and lead free! I absolutely love it, and have so much fun selling and buying the jewelry. If you want to check it out, my website www.thriftygemsjewelry.com.

The one thing that seems to be the theme for my life right now (and I am choosing to focus on this year) is trusting and having faith in Christ. Life happens, and it gets crazy a lot, but God is faithful. Always there, His love constant like the sun. No matter what I face, or don't know what I'm facing to begin with, God is holding me close and guiding me. And I can tell you, after some things that happened this past year, it is so much better to rest in the peace that God gives you when you trust in Him, rather than worrying over it needlessly.

One of the things that happened was my car died. Suddenly. No warning. So we needed to buy a new car. Praise the Lord for Dave Ramsey, as we were going through his program at the time and had already gotten our emergency fund up and didn't really need to worry about anything. But I did. I was scared, even though I knew God had it all under control. And you know what? I actually enjoy my new car way more than I do my last one! I got a 1999 Honda Accord that is red and has a sun roof. I love the sun roof. :D

But because of that situation, it caused me to take a step back, and realize that I need to strengthen my faith. I am putting more unnecessary stress on my already stressed out body, and not enjoying life nearly as much!

So, all that to say, I am taking one day at a time, trusting the Lord with every step, and not worrying about tomorrow. It can take care of itself. It isn't easy, but I'm learning and growing. :D

What is your focus for 2019?
